Description
ALTAS QUINTAS project is born of the obsession to make Alentejo wine with
different characteristics for demanding wine connoisseurs. Not only to produce a
great wine but one that reflects our obsession to surprise and provide the pleasure
that only an excellent wine can give.
The difference of Altas Quintas wine begins at its location. On a plateau at 600
meters altitude in Alentejo. This location and the microclimate of this plateau
generate unique terroir conditions. Also, 70% of the bunches are removed still in
their immature stage so that those that remain have another structure and quality.
Red wine fermentation is made in French oak barrels from Seguin Moreau in a
controlled temperature environment and the stage barrels are used only up to three
years. All these conditions and procedures allow to produce high quality
internationally awarded wines.
