Fialho & Irmão resulted from the experience accumulated over several years resulted from the experience accumulated over several years by its founding partners in the field of agricultural machinery. The company was incorporated in 1958, for the repair of agricultural machines, with a small workshop in Rua do Muro in Évora, Portugal. Fialho & Irmão, Lda. started by repairing agricultural and industrial machinery and manufacturing fittings. Since the agricultural machines repaired were mostly imported, it was hard to use them in the specific work conditions in Alentejo. For this reason, the Company started adapting these machines, increasing its durability and performance, marketing them with Fialho brand. In the next phase, the Company started manufacturing disc harrows, cultivators, plows and other simple manufacturing machinery. Then came its current premises in Horta de Barreiros, currently with 8,400 m2 of covered area and 33,460 m2 of open area. Fialho & Irmão, Lda. installed at the end of the 90s two more industrial buildings with 2,000 square meters of total area and in 2003 completed another building with more than 2,000m2. These investments enabled the company to improve its production process, by streamlining its layout thus obtaining substantial gains in increased industrial productivity. Part of the company's activity, there are also over 40,000 m2 which are used for testing the equipment produced by the company in order to better respond to customer needs. Products and services: agricultural machinery, custom machinery, machining centre, repairs, technical support, online shop and technical support online, agricultural mechanization consulting.
