Description
In 1992, a group of Alentejo farmers decided to join in order to start marketing all of their livestock production through an organization called ELIPEC, Livestock Producers Group of Alentejo. Its policy is to value the quality of its producers' meat and food security. All beef, sheep, pigs or goats may be supplied fresh or frozen, packed in a vacuum or in cuvettes.
INTEGRATED PRODUCTION MODE: Strict and tight compliance with national and Community rules on the use of fertilizers and pesticides throughout the farm aims at increased protection of natural resources, animal welfare, traceability and food safety.
MODE OF BIOLOGICAL PRODUCTION: Full respect for the natural rhythms of life implies following a series of practices aimed at minimizing their impact on the environment and ensuring that all exploitation works in the most natural way possible.
