ADERAVIS – Associação para o Desenvolvimento Rural
Outros / Avis
Description
ADERAVIS - Association for Rural Development and Traditional Productions of the Municipality of Avis was created in 2004 and represents, among other small agricultural producers, around 130 beekeepers from the Municipality of Avis and neighboring municipalities, owners of more than 8,000 hives with an annual production between 30 and 50 tons of honey. The predominance of cork oak forests in the region, as well as the typical undercover flora, is reflected in the production of rosemary honey, holm oak honeydew and multifloral honeys. These excellent products are an ex-libris of the Municipality of Avis, present in the flavors of traditional gastronomy and valued for their multiple health benefits.
