Apimigor Lda., is a family company that has always been innovating over 3 generations, always maintaining its identity, at the level of tradition, producing its products in an innovative way, but always with the same quality.
Laurentino Coelho Mendes, one of the partners, has been a beekeeper for several years, presenting extensive experience in the sector, in 2011 he was invited to join the Confraria do Mel, an invitation that was immediately accepted, becoming the only Mel confrere in the South of Country.
The company annually produces around 30 to 50 tons of honey per year.
The general objectives over the years include the production and export of quality honey for national and international markets, as well as the supply of bee-derived products as a food complement with quality and cost that provide good access to the consuming public, through a policy of full quality in relationships with customers, suppliers, employees and the community.
The specific objectives are for the company to be synonymous with honey and derivatives, recognized as the best honey and derivatives company in the south of Portugal, to grow in a sustainable way, always adding value to the product, to equip the establishment of basic equipment necessary for the activity, to satisfy and retain customers, promoting a diverse choice of products with guaranteed quality and notoriety by the end consumer, creating value, continuously improving performance and supply and respecting principles of sustainable economic and social development.
It is currently already exporting to countries such as Germany, which are sold in bulk, which is why the company has made an investment in a Packaging Unit, to open in February 2015, to sell its product to the end consumer.
It should also be noted that the company is licensing Honey as an Organic Product, respecting what is defined in Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 of the Council of 28 June, with its implementation rules defined in Regulation (EC) No. 889 /2008, from the Commission, of September 5th.
